Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 22, 2026

This policy explains how steellondon.com handles personal information. The operator of the site (“we”) is the party responsible for these practices, and you can reach us about privacy at [email protected]. Reading Steellondon does not require an account, and you can browse without giving us your name.

What we collect when you visit

Like most sites, our servers and hosting providers record standard visit logs. These can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, referring address and the time of the request. We use them to deliver pages, diagnose faults and detect abuse.

Where enabled, we and our partners use cookies and similar technologies. These may remember settings, measure readership through analytics, deliver and measure advertising, and attribute visits that arrive through affiliate links so a referral can be credited.

Cookies and your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and show tracking warnings, though doing so may affect parts of the site. Some browsers also send opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, and we honour such signals where the law requires and where we are able to detect them.

Messages, mailings and partners

If you email us or use a contact form where one exists, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it to answer you, to review corrections and to keep a record of the exchange. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or other sensitive material.

We do not sell your email address or message content to anyone.

Should we offer a newsletter, signing up means giving us an email address, which is stored with the mailing service that sends the messages. Each issue contains an unsubscribe link, and we may keep a minimal record that you opted out so we do not email you again.

We rely on outside services for hosting, analytics, advertising, email delivery and embedded content such as videos or maps. These providers may receive information needed to do their jobs, and some act under their own privacy terms. We do not control other websites we link to.

Keeping, protecting and changing data

We keep information only as long as it is reasonably needed: logs for a limited operational period, correspondence while follow-up may be useful, and mailing suppression records for as long as they protect your choice. Legal duties or disputes can extend that period.

Aggregated statistics, such as page counts that cannot identify you, may be kept for longer and used to decide what to write next.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. Email [email protected] to make a request. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will explain if a request cannot be met.

Steellondon is intended for adults and general audiences, not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us data, please tell us at [email protected] and we will look into deleting it.

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process data in other countries, and where that happens we expect appropriate safeguards to be in place.

We may revise this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version, and where the law requires, we will give further notice of significant changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
